Rosalind Hosea Named Compliance Coordinator/Student Services

CHICAGO, Ill. – Illinois Tech Athletics is excited to announce the addition of Rosalind Hosea, who will oversee essential business functions of the department in her role of Compliance Coordinator/Student Services. She joins Athletics after spending the last 11 years in the Illinois Tech Controller’s Office in various roles.

“Rosalind Hosea has great familiarity with Illinois Tech,” said Director of Athletics Joe Hakes. “In the interview process, she really showed that working with students and with our staff was the real draw for her to make this change. We look forward to the positive spirit she brings to the job every day.”

In her new role with Tech Athletics, Hosea will be coordinating, implementing and evaluating all facets of all compliance areas, including review of compliance documents, development and implementation of educational programs for coaches, student-athletes, staff, and alumni, and coordinating and managing Student-Athlete academic progress. In addition, Hosea’s role will manage department transportation needs, work with student-worker staffing, and aid in coordination of the athletic department budget.

Hosea has been with Illinois Tech since November of 2007, starting as Administrative Coordinator before adding Customer Service Coordinator to her title in March 2012. Most recently, she has served as Administrative Assistant and Office Coordinator since November 2014.

“I am super excited about joining the Athletics family,” said Hosea. My 10-plus years in the Controller’s Office has afforded me to learn the Administration side of Illinois Tech. Now, the Athletics department will give me a chance to play a big part on the academic side and deal first hand with students. I look forward to building new and fresh relationships with the reason Illinois Tech is who it is: students!”
