TUCSON, Ariz. -After a two days off, the Illinois Tech baseball team resumed action in Arizona on Thursday night against Valley City State University. Tech was defeated 18-2.
How it Happened
- The Scarlet Hawks struck first, scoring in the bottom of the second on an RBI single coursey of Carsten Wahl.
- Valley City opened the floodgates in the middle innings. The opponents tallied 15 hits on the afternoon, a key factor in the 18-run output.
- An Orlando Cardenas-Juan RBI single in the bottom of the seventh led to Tech's second run of the ballgame.
