Dickey Wins Second AD3I Player of the Week for Baseball

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Association of Division III Athletics has announced its player of the week for baseball.  Illinois Tech's Zachary Dickey has received the honor for his play during the week of April 15-22.  This is the second week in a row he has won this award.

Dickey hit .346 during six games last week in WIAC play, driving in six and scoring once with four doubles.  The sophomore had at least one hit in each of the games against #3 Wisconsin-Whitewater and Wisconsin-Stout.  The El Paso, Texas native totaled nine hits in 26 at-bats during the week of competition, including a 2-for-8 on Tuesday against the Warhawks and a combined 7-for-18 against the Blue Devils over the weekend.

Baseball is back in action on Thursday at Guaranteed Rate Field for a special home game against Aurora at 6:00 p.m.  Then the team will take on Wisconsin-Stevens Point for a weekend series of doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday.
