CHICAGO, Ill. – Illinois Tech Athletics is heading down the home stretch of the Fall sports seasons, as well as kicking off a winter sport, this week. Five varsity teams will be in action throughout the next seven days, including four of them at home this coming Saturday.
The week starts on Monday, as Women’s Soccer will play its first match of the week at North Park University at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday at 3:30 p.m., the Scarlet Hawks will oppose nearby University of Chicago on the road. Also playing on the road mid-week will be Women’s Volleyball. The Scarlet Hawks will oppose Moody Bible Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night. The next day, Men’s Soccer will host Moody Bible at Stuart Field for 6:00 p.m. for the first of the two-match Chicago Cup Series. Saturday will be arguably the busiest day of home events of the year for Illinois Tech, as three different events, featuring four different teams, will occur simultaneously. At 1:00 p.m., both the Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams begin the season with a meet in Ekco Pool against traditional Liberal Arts Conference power Franklin College.
Also at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, the Keating Sports Center will host Women’s Volleyball’s Senior Day tri-match. The Scarlet Hawks will oppose Great Lakes Christian at 1:00 p.m. and Manchester University at 5:00 p.m. as a part of the day’s festivities.
