STUART, Fla. – Over the past week, the Illinois Tech men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams visited the oceanside of Florida. The trip, which started on December 30, was scheduled to culminate in an exhibition meet against several Division II and Division III schools. However, cold temperatures forced a cancellation of the meet.
In lieu of the scheduled exhibition competition, the Scarlet Hawks competed in an intersquad relay meet. Between two-a-day practices each day, the team also found time to have fun with trips to the beach, movies and a team dinner on New Year's Eve.
The season picks back up this weekend, as the Scarlet Hawks host Lawrence University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Live video will be available.
