Hawks Drop Home Opener
Chicago, Illinois - Illinois Tech lost its first home game of the year 69-35 to Wabash College. 
The Scarlet Hawks gave a really good defensive effort in the first half, limiting Wabash to 39% shooting and only 25 points.  The first half ended with Illinois Tech down 25-19, by far the Hawks' best overall half this season. Samuel Rarick paced the hawks with 18 of the 19 first-half points. 
The Hawks struggled offensively in the second-half, converting on only 25% of their field goals while allowing Wabash 44 second-half points.  llinois Tech was once again led by sophomore foward Samuel Rarick who poured in a game and season high 31 points . Rarick has been an offensive force thus far this season averaging over 23 points per game.  Sophomore forward Anders Bybjerg put together a solid all around game, pulling down a game high 11 rebounds, dishing out a game high 4 assists, while adding 3 steals.

 

The Scarlet Hawks drop to 0-3 on the year and will face Anderson on Tuesday night.
