Men’s Basketball Drops the First of Home-and-Home Games Versus Moody Bible

Chicago, IL- The Scarlet Hawks men's basketball team took a short trip to downtown Chicago to take on rivals Moody Bible in the first of 2 match-ups scheduled between Moody and Tech this season. Tech versus Moody has provided some thrilling encounters in the past and going into the game, Tech was feeling very optimistic about earning a victory on the road. Tech was looking once again to their sensational Sophomore Samuel Rarick to have another monster performance and he didn't fail to deliver. Rarick recorded a double-double, scoring 31 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

The first half started at a frantic pace with both teams pushing the ball up the court. Both teams were not executing efficiently on offense but both were very disruptive on the defensive side of the ball. Tech was outscored 33-26 in the half and with Moody heading into the locker room with a 7 point lead; Tech was still in striking distance.

Tech couldn't get much going on the offensive end in the second half to really post a threat at Moody's lead and Moody did enough to open up a double-digit lead in the half. This led to a 67-48 Moody victory.  Manish Suthar chipped in with 7 points for the Hawks.
