Rarick 30-Point Performance Not Enough to Propel Tech Over Trinity

Deerfield, IL- Tech's offensive juggernaut, Samuel Rarick, had another 30 point performance against a tough Trinity International team but it wasn't enough to propel the Scarlet Hawks to a victory. Rarick is currently leading the USCAA DIII in points per game. His consistent brilliance has been incredible this season and has meant so much to Tech's team and offense. Trinity has been having a good season so far and came into the game with a respectable 11-10 record.

The first 12 minutes of first half was a close affair between both teams with both going on small runs then to see the other team counter with a small run of their own. At the 8:31 point of the half it was a 3 point game; trinity 23 and Tech 20. In the remaining minutes of the half, Trinity opened up a double digit lead on Tech, outscoring the Hawks 41-25 in the half.

The Scarlet Hawks were looking to cut into Trinity's lead going into the second half but Trinity had other plans as they started the half on an 8-0 run. Tech failed to overcome the deficit and were outscored 42-22 in the second half. Trinity International soared to an 83-47 victory.

Rarick led the way for the Hawks with 30 points and 13 rebounds while Manish Suthar contributed with 9 points. Tech will be in action again on Friday the 30th of January against Aurora University on the road at 7pm.
