NORFOLK, Va. - On Monday, February 19, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association will announce bids for the 2018 Men's Basketball Championships field. For a second straight year, the Scarlet Hawks (17-7) are primed to recieve a strong seed in the tournament. This year's festivities, once again being held at the University of Penn State-Fayette in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, will take place from February 27 through March 3.

The Men's Division I tournament field will be announced via video on Monday at 4:30 p.m. central time (5:30 p.m. central time). The video can be watched via the USCAA Website (http://www.theuscaa.com/landing/index) and YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/USCAANetwork) as soon as it becomes available.

Illinois Tech is ranked fourth in the latest USCAA Division I Coaches Poll. Last season, the Scarlet Hawks earned the tournament's fourth seed and reached the USCAA National Championship game, defeating top-seeded Maine-Fort Kent in double overtime to advance to the final.

Tech men's basketball will also have a busy evening on Tuesday, as the team announced yesterday plans to retire the jersey number of the program's all-time leading scorer, Samuel Rarick.
