Men's Basketball Earns Fourth Seed in USCAA Tournament

NORFOLK, Va. - The Illinois Tech men's basketball team will be heading to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association's National Championships for the second consecutive year. On Monday, the USCAA announced its 2018 Men's Division I Championships field, with the Scarlet Hawks earning the fourth seed in the eight-team tournament. Tech's first game will be on Wednesday, February 28 at 4:00 p.m. eastern (3:00 p.m. central) against fifth-seeded Rochester College.

Tournament format consists of eight-team bracket play with consolation matchups after the first round. A win over Rochester would advance the Scarlet Hawks to Thursday's winner's bracket matchup at 8:00 p.m. eastern time (7:00 p.m. central time), while a loss puts Tech in a consolation matchup at 11:15 a.m. eastern time (10:15 a.m. central time) on Thursday.

A full tournament schedule for the Scarlet Hawks will be posted to www.illinoistechathletics.com when made available.
