Max Hisatake Lands Second NACC Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week Honor

WAUKESHA, WIS.—Illinois Institute of Technology men's basketball senior center Max Hisatake landed Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday. He also earned the honor on December 17. The Las Vegas, Nevada native notched a trio of double doubles for the Scarlet Hawks over the last three contests.

Hisatake netted 23 points and tied for a season-high 17 boards in a 73-59 victory over Olivet on December 27. He added 12 points and 12 rebounds in a 72-58 win over Hope on December 28, and followed that with 12 points and 15 boards in an 83-74 (2OT) decision over Concordia (Wis.) on January 4 to help push IIT's win streak to three games. 

Hisatake averages a double double with 17.0 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per game over 11 contests in 2019-20. He carries 1057 points and 929 rebounds over 93 career games played.

Hisatake and the Scarlet Hawks (4-7, 2-4 NACC) will host Wisconsin Lutheran College tonight, Tuesday, January 7 at 7:00 p.m.
