Chicago, Ill. - Illinois Tech Men’s Basketball has released it’s 2019-20 schedule. The Scarlet Hawks will pay a 25 regular season contests and 2 exhibition games after the inaugural Division III season saw a runner up finish in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) tournament.

The Scarlet Hawks are coming off of a 16-12 season and have won 57 games over the past 3 seasons, will open up the season as they host NAIA Governors State November 5th at 6:00 p.m. That weekend the regular season begins by hosting Trine Saturday, November 9th at 7:00 p.m.

Tech will follow up their opener with a trip up to Big Rapids, Mich. for a match up with Division II member Ferris State Wednesday, November 13th at 6:00 p.m.  The Hawks will wrap up back to back road games at Elmhurst College on Tuesday, November 19th at 7:00 p.m. 

NACC play will tip off Saturday, November 23rd at 2:00 p.m. as Illinois Tech will play host to Benedictine University before returning to non-conference action Tuesday, November 26th at 7:00 p.m. as they welcome Wisconsin-Platteville to the Keating Sports Center.

The NACC schedule picks back up on Saturday, November 30th as the Hawks head west to Aurora University for a 2:00 p.m. On Wednesday, December 4th the Hawks will take on local rival Dominican University at 7:00 p.m. in River Forest, Ill. before returning home to host MSOE at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7th. After a trip to Lakeland on Saturday December 14th for a 2:00pm tip off, the Hawks will wrap up 2019 with the Russ DeVette-Holland Sentinel Classic hosted by Hope College in Holland, Mich. The Hawks will take on the Comets of Olivet College to open things up on Friday, December 27th at 5:00 p.m. before taking on the hosts, Hope College on Saturday, December 28th at 2:00 p.m.

Tech will close out the regular season with 15 NACC games once the calendar flips to 2020. The Scarlet Hawks will host Concordia Wisconsin (January 4), Wisconsin Lutheran (January 7), Lakeland (January 11) , Concordia Chicago (January 18), Rockford (January 25), Edgewood (February 1), Dominican (February 8), and Aurora (February 15). The conference road slate features Marian (January 15), MSOE (January 21), Benedictine (January 29), Wisconsin Lutheran (February 4), Edgewood (February 12), Concordia Wisconsin (February 18) and Rockford (February 22). 

The NACC Tournament Starts Tuesday, February 25th with the top six teams qualifying. Seeds three through six will play on the 26th, with the highest seed hosting each contest at 7:00 p.m. On February 27th the final 4 remaining teams will play with the one and two seed hosting the winners from the opening round at 7:00 p.m. The championship game will be played at the highest seeds gym on Saturday February 29th.
