Two Scarlet Hawks Land 2021 All-NACC Men's Lacrosse Honorable Mention

WAUKESHA, WIS.—Illinois Institute of Technology men's lacrosse sophomore midfield Spencer Meace, and freshman defense Henry Rankin landed 2021 All-NACC Men's Lacrosse Honorable Mention accolades on Wednesday.

Meace finished second on the team in scoring with 14 goals and four assists for 18 points over nine games played in the Scarlet Hawks' inaugural season in the NACC. The Simsbury, Connecticut native finished the season with 18 ground balls, six caused turnovers, 48 shots and 31 shots on goal. Meace saved his best for last as he notched a season-high four goals, five points, four ground balls and seven shots in an 11-10 loss to Concordia (Wis.) on April 24.

Rankin's rookie season resulted in a team-leading 15 caused turnovers. The Bay Village, Ohio native finished the season with 17 ground balls. Rankin tallied a season-high four caused turnovers in a 17-3 victory over Edgewood on April 17, and a season-best four ground balls in a 13-7 win at Concordia Chicago on April 13. 

The Scarlet Hawks finished the 2021 season with a 2-7, 2-5 NACC mark.
