Men's Soccer Unable To Contain MSOE

Milwaukee, Wis. – The Illinois Tech men's soccer team fell behind 2-0 in the first two minutes of their match with the Milwaukee School of Engineering, and they were never able to recover as they fell to the Raiders 6-0 Wednesday night. The loss dropped the Scarlet Hawks to 2-6-0 in NACC play, and 7-7-0 overall. The Raiders improved to 6-1-1 in the NACC, and 11-1-2 overall.

How It Happened

  • Alex Lamb opened the scoring for the Raiders with an unassisted tally at the 1:31 mark of the first half.
  • 44 seconds later Nathan Dresen extended the Raiders' lead to 2-0, with Zach Thompson assisting.
  • Tanner Cellio scored unassisted at 25:43 to give the Raiders a 3-0 halftime lead.
  • The Raiders scored three more goals in the second half, each goal coming 10 minutes apart: Steven Arthur (49:58), Dresen (59:10) and Freddy Comparato (69:37)
  • Thompson finished with 3 assists for the Raiders.
