William Skoog begins his third year as Illinois Tech assistant men’s soccer coach in 2021. 

Skoog is a native of Overland Park, Kansas and attended Shawnee Missions South High School. He attended Drake University from 2014-2017.

Skoog was a three-year member of the Drake University men’s soccer team as a goalkeeper. Drake won their conference championship and made the NCAA Division I Round of 32 in 2015. 

He was a goalkeeper coach with the West Des Moines Soccer Club from 2014-2016.

Skoog is currently seeking his bachelor of science degree in visual sciences and doctor of optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. He is expected to complete his degree in May 2021.
