CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois Institute of Technology men's swimming and diving team opened up the home slate on Saturday afternoon, defeating Beloit College.

Scarlet Hawk Standouts

  • In the 200 Yard Freestyle, Connor McGuire narrowly edged out Beloit's Meshach Roberts with a time of 1:57.78.
  • Julian Escasa was victorious in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 22.52s and the 100 Yard Butterfly at 54.08s.
  • Michael Milici was impressive in the 200 Yard Individual Medley with a 2:06.06 time. He also won the 100 Yard Breaststroke at 1:05.18.
  • In the 100 Yard Freestyle, Tanner Grieve won with a 50.68s time.
  • Jay Korhonen took the 100 Yard Backstroke event at 58.07s,
  • Kevin Boldt won the 500 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 5:06.02.
