Men’s Swimming and Diving Competes at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis.- The Illinois Institute of Technology men's swimming and diving team competed in a double dual against Illinois Wesleyan University and Carthage College on Saturday. The event was held at Carthage.

Scarlet Hawk Standouts

  • Jay Korhonen continued his strong season, winning both the 200 Yard Breaststroke (2:15.18) and 200 Yard Butterfly (2:00.76). He also placed second in the 200 Yard Individual Medley (1:59.69).
  • Michael Milici took first place in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:01.71.
  • Julian Escasa placed second in the 50 Yard Freestyle (22.41s) and 100 Yard Butterfly (53.03s).
  • Tech dominated the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, as its teams took first, third, and fourth place. The team of Escasa, Milici, Kevin Boldt, and Korhonen took first at 3:21.98.
