Fourth-Place Finish for Men’s Swimming and Diving at LAC Meet

ELSAH, Ill. – The Illinois Institute of Technology men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2015-16 season at the final day of the Liberal Arts Championships on Saturday. Tech placed fourth in the nine team field.

Meet Highlights

  • Kevin Boldt stood out in the 1650 Yard Freestyle with a fourth-place finish (19:49.14).
  • Michael Milici and Joseph Valio each reached the finals in the 200 Yard Backstroke, placing fifth (1:57.33) and eighth (2:06.79) respectively.
  • In the 100 Yard Freestyle, Julian Escasa led the way with a time of 48.35s (sixth place).
  • Jay Korhonen continued his strong weekend with a fourth-place finish in the 200 Yard Breaststroke (2:12.59).
  • Luke Workman (second, 1:58.17) and Tanner Grieve (fifth, 2:00.08) led the way in the 200 Yard Butterfly.
  • Grieve, Milici, Workman, and Escasa formed the 400 Yard Freestyle relay team, which placed fourth at 3:14.36.
