Men's Swimming and Diving Ranked #18 on Collegeswimming.com

FULL RANKINGS

CHICAGO, Ill. - Collegeswimming.com released its updated team rankings on Tuesday afternoon. Illinois Tech men's swimming and diving finds itself ranked in the Top 25 of NCAA Division III schools, currently ranked at 18. This marks the first time an Illinois Tech team has achieved a national Top 25 ranking since becoming an NCAA Division III provisional member in 2012.

The Scarlet Hawks climbed to 18th on the rankings list thanks to an impressive weekend at the University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic. Brendan Howley broke two school records over the course of the three-day meet (100 Yard and 200 Yard Breaststroke), while Karsen Diepholz set Illinois Tech's 1000 Yard Freestyle record. Eight different swims at UChicago, as well as David Pozlin's 1 Meter Diving score, currently sit atop the Liberal Arts Conference's leaderboard. The impressive weekend also pushed the Scarlet Hawks to the top of the LAC's team rankings on collegeswimming.com. A full release on the weekend's record-breaking meet can be found here

Illinois Tech swimming and diving is off from competition this weekend. The Scarlet Hawks will be back home on Saturday, December 3 to host the Ted Erikson Invite at 1:00 p.m. Live video will be streamed of the meet.
