DAVENPORT, Iowa -- The Illinois Tech men's swimming and diving team dropped their opening meet of the season to St. Ambrose on Saturday.

The Fighting Bees defeated the Scarlet Hawks, 130-58, at Davenport Central Natatorium.

Scarlet Hawk Standouts

• Peyton Goetschel won the 1,000 yard freestyle with his time of 10:50.40.
• Julian Escasa picked up the victory at the 200 yard freestyle race coming in a time of 1:46.78.
• Ryan Escasa was victorious in the 100 yard butterfly after finishing with a finals time of 53.65.
