CHICAGO, Ill. - The Illinois Tech Men's swimming and diving team competed at the University of Chicago Phoenix Invite's opening night on Friday. After one day of action, Tech is in fourth place with 112 points.

Meet Highlights
- In the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, the group of Tyler Van Wagener, David Polzin, Seth Wissenbach, and Julian Escasa placed eighth with a time of 1:27.77
- Miles Thompson led the way for the Scarlet Hawks in the 1650 Yard Freestyle at 17:03.70, placing 10th.
- Escasa, Samuel Kalenowski, Wissenbach, and Van Wagener finished in 12th place in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, clocking in at 3:35.66.
