Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes in 6th Place At Phoenix Fall Classic

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Illinois Tech men's swimming and diving team finished in sixth place at University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic which took place this entire weekend.

Scarlet Hawk Participants

  •  Sam Kalenowski came in 13th place in the 100 yard breaststroke race with a time of 1:02:34.
  •  Matthew Randle finished in 14th place for the 200 yard backstroke with his time of 2:04.28.
  •  Julian Escasa raced the 100 yard freestyle in a time of 48:06 which landed him in 14th place.
  •  Ryan Escasa completed the 200 yard butterfly race at 2:01.67 and placed him in 12th, right behind him was teammate Seth Wissenbach finishing at 2:01.77.
  • Illinois Tech finished in seventh place in the 800 yard freestyle relay with Randle, Wissenbach, Escasa and Miles Thompson.
