CHICAGO—The Illinois Institute of Technology men's and women's swimming & diving squads will embark on the prestigious University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic on Friday, November 22 - Sunday November 24 at the Myers-McLoraine Pool in Chicago. Friday's event will begin at 6:00 p.m., Saturday is slated for a 10:00 a.m. / 6:00 p.m. start, while Sunday is set for 10:00 a.m. / 6:00 p.m.
The Scarlet Hawks will square-off against the following squads at the Phoenix Fall Classic:

Hillsdale (NCAA Division II)
Lewis (NCAA Division II)
Colorado College (NCAA Division III)
Lincoln (NAIA)
Soka (NAIA)
Millikin (NCAA Division III)
DePauw (NCAA Division III)
Wheaton (NCAA Division III)
The host Maroons enter the meet ranked eighth on the most recent men's and women's College Swimming Coaches Association of America Coaches' Poll.
"The Phoenix Fall Classic is an important part of our season," said Scarlet Hawks head swimming & diving coach Andy Parro. "Racing at this point in the year helps us to see how the tough training that the student-athletes have been putting in pays off against some pretty great teams. I am excited to see our swimmers have fun and swim fast as a team."
The Scarlet Hawks are coming off the Carthage College Triangular on November 16, where they also squared off against Illinois Wesleyan University. On the men's side, IIT took down Illinois Wesleyan 203.00-52.00, and dropped a 143.50-118.50 decision to Carthage. The women fell to Illinois Wesleyan 194.00-77.00, and dropped a 212.00-71.00 mark to Carthage.
The men grabbed five individual titles, while the women claimed three.
