Men’s Tennis Beats MSOE, Falls to Carthage on Final Day

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Illinois Tech men's tennis team closed out the season on Saturday with two matches at Carthage College, taking on Milwaukee School of Engineering and the host Red Men. Tech moved its final record to 10-12 with an 8-1 win over MSOE and 9-0 loss to Carthage

How it Happened – MSOE Match

  • Tech started the day strong by sweeping in doubles. The strongest win may have been in #3, as Abishek Rana and Brian Ma won 8-2.
  • In singles, Yousef Abdo was dominant in a 6-1, 6-1 win.
  • Broody Croonquist was a 6-1, 6-0 winner in #4 singles.

How it Happened – Carthage Match

  • Tech dropped all three doubles matches, with #2 Adam Laitinen and Connor Mullane (8-2) and #3 Rana and Ma (8-2) coming the closest to victory.
  • In singles, Croonquist stood out once again in the #4 slot, taking his opponent to a third set and falling 3-6, 6-3, 0-1.
