Men's Tennis Falls to End Florida Trip

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Illinois Tech men's tennis team wrapped up its spring trip to Orlando on Thursday with a matchup against St. Lawrence. Tech was defeated 5-4 in the contest.

Match Highlights

  • Pol de Santiago and Franklin Zhong made winning a habit for the Scarlet Hawks, securing a doubles victory with an 8-7 (2) win in the first spot. de Santiago was also a winner in the top singles spot by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (9), while Zhong was a 7-6 (5) and 7-5 winner in #3.
  • Adam Laitinen won in #5 singles over Jordan Mamelak 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (5).
  • Mohammed Shamel was a 6-4, 7-6 (3) in #6 singles.
