HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Illinois Tech men's track and field team competed in the second day of the Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Michigan on Friday. Scarlet Hawk sprinters were on display for the day's events.

Meet Highlights

• John Xavier led the way for the Scarlet Hawks in the 100m dash, placing 21st at 11.76s. He also placed 30th in the 200m dash at 23.70s.
• Also in the 200m dash, Demis Thomas placed 31st with a time of 23.73s.
• In the 400m dash, David Polzin placed sixth at 51.51s. Thomas placed 14th in the same event at 54.09s.

• The third and final day of the Gina Relays will take place tomorrow morning, Saturday. Events are slated to begin at 9:00 a.m. central time.
