Triple Threat: Men’s Track and Field Wins Three Races Friday

KENOSHA, Wis. – The indoor track and field season wrapped up in about as strong a way as one could ask for the men's track and field team on Saturday, with three student-athletes winning events at the Cartage College Final Qualifier. No team score was recorded in the meet.

Meet Highlights

  • Cole Dammeier obliterated the competition in the 3000m, placing first with a time of 8:51.57. The next closest attached runner was nearly 30 seconds behind Tech's senior leader.
  • Evan Balizado continued his outstanding freshman campaign with a victory in the 800m. Improving by over two seconds from last week's conference time, he recorded a 2:00.01 mark.
  • Anthony Tuman outran all attached runners in the mile, winning with a time of 4:30.50. He trailed an unattached runner, Josh Slamka, by less than a second (4:29.85).
  • Julian Go was also strong in the mile, placing seventh at 4:39.86.
