Track & Field Releases 2020 Schedule

2020 MEN'S TRACK & FIELD SCHEDULE

2020 WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD SCHEDULE

CHICAGO-The 2020 season is 38 days away for the Illinois Institute of Technology men's and women's track & field teams, who will open their indoor campaign on Saturday, January 11 at the University of Chicago Phoenix Opener.

"I am really excited with our schedule for the 2020 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons," said IIT head men's & women's track & field coach Tyler McQuality. "It is in large part the same as last year, so our returners will be familiar with the quality of meets that we attend. We are so fortunate to be in an area where there are great meets hosted at top-notch facilities. I am excited to see where this season takes us as we build off success from last year and from our cross country group this fall."

An area with great meets isn't lip service as the Scarlet Hawks won't have to travel more than 71 miles throughout the indoor season, which culminates with the 2019 NACC Championship (Concordia Chicago host) on Saturday, February 29 at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Championship will be held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on March 13-14.

The outdoor season will commence with the Washington University (Mo.) Distance Carnival on Friday, April 3. The Scarlet Hawks' outdoor postseason will begin with the 2019 NACC Championship on May 1-2 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and end with the 2019 NCAA Division III Championship on May 21-23 in Rochester, N.Y.

"As always, we want to build through the season and progress through our training and meets to be at our best in May at the NACC Outdoor Championship," said McQuality. "We expect the competition throughout the season to prepare us to do that."
