UP CLOSE
Why I Chose Illinois Tech: One of the best engineering schools in the midwest, great history of innovation and entrepreneurship, smaller class size allowing for closer relations with professors, very reasonable cost for education after scholarships, and a growing DIII athletics program.
Strength: Persevering, organized, good sense of urgency, level-headed.
Weakness: Procrastination, too-detail oriented, working too many hours.
Game Day Ritual: Physically writing down my racing plans.
Favorite Memory: Swimming in mud at the 2019 XC conference meet.
Best Player I've Ever Faced: Tyler McQuality in the one mile race.
Pet Peeve: When groups of walkers on the lakefront trail block the entire path.
Biggest Fear: Running watch dying in the middle of a great workout.
First Job: Food runner at The Patio restaurant.
Person I'd Like to Meet: Elon Musk
What People Don't Know About Me: While I may get upset at times, I am never mad.
Something I Never Leave Home Without: Garmin running watch
If I Could Change One Thing About Myself: I would prioritize more social awareness, since most of the time I get lost in my own world of school, work, athletics, etc.
Plans After Illinois Tech: Most likely grad school (master's or doctorate), then I hope to work an R&D position in an industry focused on energy and sustainability.
