Illinois Tech Finishes in 14th Place at Midwest Intercollegiates Friday

BOURBANNAIS, Ill. – The Illinois Tech men's cross country finished in 14th place at the Midwest Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Olivet Nazarene on Friday.

There were 18 total schools competing in the event. The Scarlet Hawks finished with 390 total team points.

Tech Runners

  • Freshman Evan Balizado led the Scarlet Hawks in 57th place as Balizado ran a 28:03.43.
  • Andrew Logan was the next Illinois Tech finisher as he finished in 75th place and ran the 8K race at 29:55.59.
  • Alden Diaz was not far behind as Diaz finished in 80th place and ran a 30:10.88.
  • Thomas Doyle, who ran his first event this season, came in 84th place and ran the 8K in 30:25.61.
  • Mohammed Saleem ran his first race of the season for the Scarlet Hawks and he rounded out the scoring as he finished in 94th place and ran a 31:36.13.
