Desmond Meyer will embark on his second season as an assistant coach for the Illinois Institute of Technology cross country and track & field programs in 2020-21.

Meyer came to Illinois Tech after competing at NCAA Division I Chicago State University, where he majored in business administration. He was a three-time Western Athletic Conference All-Academic selection and recorded an 8k personal best of 25:24 as a member of the Cougars. In addition to his experience as a student-athlete at CSU, Meyer also worked as a sales associate at Fleet Feet Sports in Chicago and coached the middle school level at Chicago Laboratory Schools and Oswego.
