Women’s Basketball Releases 2016-17 Schedule

FULL SCHEDULE

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Institute of Technology women's basketball team has released its 2016-17 schedule. It features a trip to the Anderson University Tournament and 10 games at the Keating Sports Center.

Illinois Tech will open up the regular season on the road for the first time in three years. After pre-season scrimmages at Rockford University (November 5) and at home against St. Mary's College (November 11), the Scarlet Hawks will open the season up at Principia College on November 15 at 6:00 p.m.

Three days later, the Hawks will head to Anderson, Indiana to compete in the Anderson University Tournament. Tech will oppose host Anderson on November 18. The Scarlet Hawks will also play on November 19 against a to-be-determined opponent.

The home schedule opens up on November 28. Illinois Tech will oppose Lake Forest College on the Monday night for a 7:00 p.m. start at the Keating Sports Center. Two nights later, the Scarlet Hawks will close out the month of November at Aurora University (November 30).

The Scarlet Hawks will play four times in the month of December before breaking for the holiday. Illinois Tech will play road games at Lincoln Christian University (December 10) and Milwaukee School of Engineering (December 14) before hosting North Park University (December 17) and California Institute of Technology (December 19) at the Keating Sports Center.

January will be the busiest month on the schedule for the Scarlet Hawks. Tech will play two of the month's first eight games on the road, traveling to Albion College (January 7) and Grace Bible College (January 10). Following up the two road games will be three straight home contests against Maranatha Baptist University (January 13), Adrian College (January 14), and Moody Bible Institute (January 17). Games at Alma College (January 22), at home against Wheaton College (January 25), and at Maranatha Baptist University (January 31) round out the month.

Tech will play five opponents in the month of February to close out the schedule. After a road game at Trine University on February 1, the Scarlet Hawks will host Grace Bible College on February 7. The team's last road game of the year is a trip to nearby Moody Bible Institute on Valentine's Day. To bring the schedule to a close, the Scarlet Hawks will host Mount Mary University (February 21) and Lincoln Christian University (February 23).
