FULL SCHEDULE

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's basketball team has released its 2017-18 schedule. It features 11 home games, a trip to Puerto Rico, and a five-game homestand to end the regular season.

"I am very excited about our schedule this season," said Head Coach Usha Gilmore. "We should be very competitive this year with a strong core of upperclassmen and the addition of a couple of talented newcomers.  We are also looking forward to playing in the Christmas tournament being held in Puerto Rico."

The trip to the Caribbean, which will take place starting on December 17, is one of the schedule's main highlights. The mid-December trip is the only one the Scarlet Hawks will take over the entire month, as December features home contests against North Central-Minnesota (December 1), Carroll University (December 12), and Aurora University (December 13).

Illinois Tech's season opens facing three future Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference opponents. On Wednesday, November 15, the 2017-18 season will begin at Edgewood College with a 6:00 p.m. tip-off. After a trip to Lakeland College on November 18, the Scarlet Hawks open the home schedule on Tuesday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. against Milwaukee School of Engineering. A home contest against the University of Dallas (November 25) and a road tilt with another NACC foe, Dominican University (November 29,) close out the opening month.

After the trip to Puerto Rico, the Scarlet Hawks will have a holiday break until opening up January on the fourth at Robert Morris-Peoria. A brief one-game homestand against Maranatha Baptist on January 6 is the only game Tech will play at the Keating Sports Center the rest of the month, as the Scarlet Hawks will play seven consecutive road contests. Tech will travel to Lake Forest College (January 8), Adrian College (January 13), Grace Bible College (January 16), Robert Morris-Springfield (January 20), Maranatha Baptist (January 25), Mount Mary (January 26), and St. Mary's College of Indiana (January 31).

The long road stretch means Tech will spend February at the Keating Sports Center with five home contests to close out the regular season. Moody Bible (February 3), Robert Morris-Springfield (February 8), Alma College (February 10), Grace Bible College (February 15), and Mount Mary (February 17) will all visit 31st and State.

If the Scarlet Hawks qualify to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championships, the tournament will be held from February 27 through March 3 at Penn State University-Fayette in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
