Women's Lacrosse Picked Third in MWLC Poll

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference has released its annual preseason coaches' poll for the 2018 season.

Illinois Tech was selected to finish third overall in the now 12-team conference after Hamline and Monmouth joined last year.  The Scarlet Hawks were projected to finish with 106 points and received two votes to finish as the top team overall.  Only Hamline (projected 114 points and seven first-place votes) and Concordia Wisconsin (projected 109 points and three first-place votes) came in above Illinois Tech, after finishing second and tied for first—respectively--last season.

The Scarlet Hawks had a very successful 2017 campaign, in which the team was co-regular season Conference Champions with Concordia Wisconsin.  Tech held a record of 15-2 overall, going 10-1 in the MWLC conference.

Tech's season begins on Wednesday, February 28 when the team hosts Hanover at 3:00 p.m. at Stuart Field. Live video, audio, and stats will be available for Scarlet Hawk home games this season. Links to all games will be available on the Women's Lacrosse schedule page as the season progresses.
