Third Time's a Charm: Scoles win Third MWLC Honor

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Shanie Scoles has made a habit of scoring goals and dominating on the field this season. She did so this past week and was named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference's Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. This week's award, voted on by the league's sports information directors, spans action from April 22-28.

The sophomore had 17 goals and one assist in two victories last week, while also tallying 20 draw controls, five caused turnovers, and four ground balls. Scoles had a nine-goal, 10-draw match at Loras College Wednesday, before scoring eight more times and winning 10 more draws against Beloit College Saturday.

The second seed in the MWLC Tournament, Tech will take on #3 Aurora on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Live audio will be available via Illinois Tech Athletics, with live stats and video courtsey of host Hamline.
