OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Association of Division III Independents has announced its Student-Athletes of the Month for October. The Scarlet Hawks have a winner for women's soccer, as freshman Julia Taliana was named the recipient after an impressive month.
The California native ended the month with 13 goals and seven assists for 33 points as the Scarlet Hawks went 6-2 in eight October matches. Taliana produced a month-high 11 points on four goals and three assists in a win over Rockford on October 5th. The freshman began the month with a goal in four straight games, including game-winning goals against Knox and St. Mary of the Woods. The one-time Player of the Week capped off the month with three goals, including the game winner, against Alverno on October 28th.
