FULL CSCAA RELEASE

CHICAGO, Ill. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America has announced its Scholar All-America teams for the Spring semester. Illinois Tech's women's swimming and diving team has earned the honor with a 3.12 GPA.

"Having both our men's and women's teams honored for their academic performances over the course of the 2015-16 academic year is great for our program," said Head Coach Kyllian Griffin. "Illinois Tech Swimming and Diving is about building a culture of success in the pool and in the classroom, and it's always wonderful to have our student-athletes recognized for their hard work in the academic arena."

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the Spring semester. A total of 658 teams across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and NJCAA received the honor, which is only the second time in the award's history the number has reached 600.

Illinois Tech's men's swimming and diving team received the same honor for the Fall semester.
