Tyler Aids Women's Swimming and Diving at IWU

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's swimming and diving team traveled south on Saturday to compete against host Illinois Wesleyan University and Carthage College. The Scarlet Hawks dropped the double dual (151.5-128.5 vs. Illinois Wesleyan, 210-80 vs. Carthage).

Meet Highlights

  • Continuing her strong season, Brigitte Temple won the 200 yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:33.28.
  • Katherine Lydon won the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:26.47. She also placed third in the 200 Yard Backstroke at 2:20.13.
  • Briana Tyler also earned a victory, placing first in the 100 Yard Butterfly at 1:03.22. Tyler was also strong in the 200 Yard Individual Medley (second place, 2:24.25).
  • Christian Jones improved her 3 Meter Diving score significantly at 140.05, nearly 11 points higher than her previous top score.

  • The Scarlet Hawks will compete in the three-day University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic from Friday through Sunday. The meet is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
