CHICAGO—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's swimming & diving squad embarked on the first-of-three legs of the University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic at the Myers-McLoraine Pool in Chicago on Friday night.
The 400 yard medley relay squad of Jamie Wurster, Anna Slominski, Megan Burrill and Kiara Jasunas highlighted the Scarlet Hawks with a ninth-place time of 4:02.65. Katherine Lydon paced IIT in the 1650 yard freestyle with a 12th-place time of 18:29.95 while Christina Hiotaky, Jamie Dean, Wurster and Jasunas took 18th in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a 1:47.55.
IIT sits tied for sixth place out of nine teams with 79 points.
The Scarlet Hawks will embark on day two of the Phoenix Fall Classic tomorrow, Saturday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. / 6:00 p.m.
