Trio of School Records Fall For Scarlet Hawks on Day Two of Chicago Fall Phoenix Classic

CHICAGO—Day two of the University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic was upon the Illinois Institute of Technology women's swimming & diving squad on Saturday at the Myers-McLoraine Pool, where a trio of school records fell. 

Anna Slominski accounted for a pair of those records with a third-place time of 1:05.48 in the 100 yard breaststroke, and an 11th-place tally of 2:09.68 in the 200 yard individual medley. Megan Burrill added a school-record time of 2:08.48 in the 200 yard butterfly, good enough for third place. Slominski and Burrill also teamed up for a 1:50.14 in the 200 yard medley relay along with teammates Katherine Lydon and Jamie Wurster. Lydon went on to cross the finish line at 5:17.12 in the 500 yard freestyle, good enough for 12th place. 

The Scarlet Hawks, who sit in sixth place through day two with 215 points, will embark on day three of the Chicago Fall Phoenix Classic tomorrow, Sunday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m. / 5:00 p.m.
