Slominski Adds Another School Record For Scarlet Hawks on Day Three of Phoenix Fall Classic

CHICAGO—Another school record fell for the Illinois Institute of Technology women's swimming & diving squad on day three of the University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic at the Myers-McLoraine Pool in Chicago on Sunday. It was another day at the office for Anna Slominski, who notched her third school record of the meet with a second-place time of 2:22.78 in the 200 yard breaststroke. This gave IIT four school records throughout the three-day affair.

The Scarlet Hawks registered seventh place out of 10 school with 299 points. The host Maroons claimed the team championship with 1667 points.

Katherine Lydon turned in an impressive day for IIT in the 400 yard individual medley with a time of 4:47.03, good enough for 11th place. Megan Burrill captured 13th place in the 100 yard butterfly with a 58.97.

The Scarlet Hawks will hit the pool again on Saturday, December 7 when they travel to Franklin College. The dual meet will start at 1:00 p.m.
