FRANKLIN, IND.—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's swimming & diving team returned from Thanksgiving break with a Saturday-afternoon dual meet at Franklin College. The Scarlet Hawks couldn't take down the Grizzlies as they dropped a 177-39 decision on the road.

The Scarlet Hawks were victorious in the 500 yard freestyle relay as Megan Burrill came through with a first-place time of 5:31.73. The second-place trend started with the 200 yard medley relay team as Jamie Wurster, Anna Slominski, Megan Burrill and Jamie Dean teamed up for a 1:58.31. Katy Lydon came through in second place in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:25.94, and followed that with a third-place time of 1:15.17 in the 100 yard breaststroke. 

The 400 yard freestyle relay team of Christina Hiotaky, Jamie Dean, Burrill and Lydon clocked-in third place with a 4:04.72. Claudia Flores kept the third-place trend alive with a 2:14.45 in the 200 yard freestyle relay. 

The Scarlet Hawks will return to action on Saturday, January 11 at home vs. North Central College (Ill.) for a 1:00 p.m. start.
