Women's Tennis Wins at Holy Cross

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Illinois Tech women's tennis team moved to 8-6 on the year on Sunday with its first win of the season, downing Holy Cross at Notre Dame University 7-2.

Match Highlights

  • In doubles, Weronika Halicka and Morgan Colbert dominated in the #1 spot with an 8-0 win.
  • Tech's second (Sophia Nelson and Jennifer Young) and third (Allyson Trang and Paulina Kulyavstev) doubles tandems earned 8-1 victories.
  • Halicka was also dominant in #1 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0.
  • The Scarlet Hawks were also victorious in #4, #5, and #6 singles. Nelson (6-3, 6-0), Young (6-2, 6-1), and Kulyavstev (6-2, 6-1) all earned victories for Tech.
