CHICAGO, Ill. - The Illinois Tech women's tennis team hosted both MSOE and Judson on Sunday at XS Tennis, defeating MSOE 9-0 before falling to Judson 6-3. The Scarlet Hawks moved to 9-7 on the season.

How it Happened - MSOE Match

  • The Scarlet Hawks were a perfect 3-0 in doubles, with the top tandem of Weronicka Halicks and Morgan Colbert dominating in an 8-0 win.
  • Tech's second doubles tandem of Sophia Nelson and Jennifer Young also impressed with a 8-1 win.
  • In singles, all nine matches went Tech's way as well. Colbert won 6-1, 6-2 in #1 singles, while Allyson Trang was a 6-1, 6-1 winner in #2 singles.

How it Happened - Judson Match

  • In doubles, Halicka and Colbert won 8-4 in the #1 spot for Tech's lone victory.
  • Halicka (6-4, 6-0) and Colbert (6-1, 6-2) also were victorious in the top singles spots.
