PARK FOREST, Ill. - The Illinois Tech women's tennis team took a trip south to take on the Tigers of Olivet Nazerene Unviersity on Wednesday. Tech was defeated by the talented Tigers 8-1.

How it Happened

• Tech was defeated 3-0 in doubles despite the second (Allyson Trang and Sophia Nelson) and third (Shailee Shah and Paulina Kulyavstev) tandems showing strong stretches of play, falling 8-4 and 8-3 respectively.
• In singles, Weronika Halicka won 6-2, 6-2 in the top spot.
• Nelson lost a close match in #4 singles 6-4. 4-6 (8-10).

• The Scarlet Hawks are off until Sunday, April 8 when the team plays in Madison, Wisconsin against UW-Lacrosse (12:00 p.m.) and Edgewood College (4:00 p.m.).
