Women's Tennis Dominates over Dominican

CHICAGO - The Illinois Tech women's tennis team hosted Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) foe Dominican University on Tuesday evening at XS Tennis. From start to finish, the Scarlet Hawks (4-5, 4-2 NACC) controlled the Stars (0-9, 0-5 NACC), winning 9-0 and dropping just two games out of 96 in the match.

Match Highlights

  • The Scarlet Hawks began the evening with a dominant performance in doubles, with both No. 1 (Morgan Colbert/Hana Iverson) and No. 3 (Mouna Chahin/Sarah Oshana) winning 8-0. 
  • In No. 2 doubles, the tandem of Kylie Hance and Allyson Trang were 8-1 winners.
  • Singles was just as impressive for Tech, with five of the six matches ending in 6-0, 6-0 sweeps. Colbert (No. 1), Iverson (No. 2), Hance (No. 3), Chahin (No. 5), and Claire Marlowe (No. 6) were the five.
  • In addition, Trang was a 6-1, 6-0 winner in No. 3 singles.
