Milwaukee, Wisc. – The Illinois Tech women's tennis team closed out conference play with an 8-1 road match victory over MSOE on Sunday, October 10. Coupled with their 9-0 home victory against Marian on Saturday, the Scarlet Hawks finished conference play with a 7-2 record, and 8-4 overall for the fall season. MSOE fell to 6-8 overall (5-4 NACC).
Match Highlights
- The Hawks won five of their six singles matches, and all three doubles matches.
- Morgan Colbert and Natalie Hamill won their singles matches 6-1,6-1 and 6-2,6-0, respectively.
- Tech's No. 1 doubles team of Colbert and Kylie Hance were 8-1 winners.
- The No. 2 duo of Hamill and Allyson Trang and the No. 3 pair of Mouna Chahin and Leah Mirch each took home doubles victories 8-2 and 8-0, respectively.
- Hance (No. 3, 7-6,6-0), Trang (No. 4, 6-3,6-1) and Chahin (No. 5, 6-3,6-1) were also victorious in their singles matches.
