Women's Tennis Splits A Pair Of Matches In Preparation For NACC Postseason Tournament

Rock Island, Ill. and Naperville, Ill. - The Illinois Tech women's tennis team split a pair of road matches on Saturday, defeating Augustana College 6-3 in Saturday morning in Rock Island, Illinois, before falling to North Central College (IL) 6-3 Saturday night in Naperville, Illinois.

In the morning match at Augustana, the Scarlet Hawks went 4-2 in singles play, with number one Morgan Colbert (6-3,6-1), number two Natalie Hamill (7-6,6-4), number five Allyson Trang (6-1,6-0) and number six Mouna Chahin (6-1,6-3) winning their matches. In doubles play, the number one pairing of Colbert and Hance won 8-4, while the number three pairing of Chahin and Saumya Sukhthankar won 8-6.

In the evening match at North Central, the Hawks went 2-4 in singles play, with Hamill winning her match 6-7,6-1,12-10, while Kylie Hance prevailed 4-6,6-3,10-5. In doubles play, Colbert and Hance earned the lone doubles victory by a score of 8-7.
