Schaub Continues to Impress for Women’s Track and Field

LISLE, Ill. – Illinois Tech's women's track and field team competed at the Benedictine University Relays on Friday and Saturday. Some Scarlet Hawks were able to put forth strong performances.

Meet Highlights

  • Taylor Schaub answered her strong meet at Knox College last weekend with another successful meet at Benedictine. She place third in a 24-person high jump field with a mark of 1.55m, her second best collegiate mark. She also placed 49th in the 200m at 30.17s.
  • Rebecca Bell placed 34th in the 1500m at 5:26.53.

Quote of the Meet

  • "Taylor has worked hard all season and the results are showing," said Assistant Coach Nick Schneigert. "She has broken the 1.50m mark several times this year, and today she was very close to breaking her own school record in the high jump once again. I couldn't be any more proud of her accomplishments, as every week, she competes to win. Also, the warm weather has paid off a lot. We had personal records set in our other events, and our athletes did an amazing job."
