Women’s Track and Field Competes at Benedictine Invite

LISLE, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's track and field team competed at the Benedictine University Invite on Saturday. The Scarlet Hawks did not record a team score in the meet.

Meet Highlights

  • Mminika Effiong placed 21st in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:08.71. Zoey Krevitz placed 24th in the same event (1:15.32). Effiong's best event was the long jump, as she placed ninth at 4.57m.
  • In the 800 Meter Run, Erin Nelson clocked in at 3:13.47 (29th place). Krevitz wasn't far behind in 30th place (3:13.61).
  • Emma Farquharson placed 50th in the discus (21.00m) and 32nd in the shot put (7.37m).
